Maple Grove Cemetery Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Findlay, OH

A Vietnam Veterans Memorial stone has been placed at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Findlay, Ohio to honor local residents who lost their lives in Vietnam. The names of the 23 soldiers are inscribed on one side of the memorial underneath the heading “VIETNAM.” The other side of the stone repeats the “VIETNAM” heading, followed underneath with the words, “THE 10,000 DAY WAR.” It also includes illustrations etched in the stone featuring a soldier struggling in jungle vegetation, others engaged in a firefight, and scenes of aviation, a naval vessel, and a memorial service.

Thank You Marine

As a fellow Buckeye, I say "THANK YOU"

As a Veteran, I say "JOB WELL DONE, MARINE"

As an American, "YOUR DEATH WAS NOT IN VAIN"

And as a Believer, "YOUR SPIRIT IS ALIVE--AND STRONG"

Although we never met personally, I want to thank you again PFC Hartley, for your courageous and valiant service, faithful contribution, and most holy sacrifice, given to this great country of ours!

REST IN ETERNAL PEACE MY MARINE FRIEND
