On the remembrance of your birthday, your sacrifice is not forgotten.

I was stationed with Reuben in Boot Camp and we were both selected to attend ATAN A School at NATTC Memphis. We both rode the same train to Memphis from Cinn, OH, checked in together at the base, and was assigned to the same cube in the same barracks. I still wear his bracelet.

Dear CPO Reuben Harris,
Thank you for your service as a Senior Chief Aviation Electronics Technician on the U.S.S. KITTY HAWK. You are still MIA, and I hate that it happened on your birthday. Please come home. Your 53rd anniversary is next week, sad. It is Lent, which is a time of preparation. The war was years ago, but we all need to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
