The day Clifton Baldwin died I was born

I put in my birthday on the internet and found this beautiful young man died the very day I was born. I look at his picture and he was so handsome. I wonder what he was like. He had to have been a man of honor, for he served our country and gave his life for our freedom. My father served in Korea and Vietnam. I was brought up to know the great sacrifice men such as Clifton gave. I am thankful to him and his family. May God bless his descendents, and may he look down from heaven proud of the legacy he has left.
Thank you for serving the great United States of America

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Clifton Adair Baldwin, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
