We Miss You

I never got to know you, but I know some folks that did.
You were taken too young from us, and you never had a kid.
Your memories still guide us, forcing us to live,
Lives you would have wanted, a life you should have lived.
So while you watch above us, keeping us in mind,
Know you've never left us, you were a special kind.

Say hi to Gram and Pap, I know they have missed you so much, and one day I'll come join you guys for lunch at Fiddles. I hope I've lived a life that would've made you proud.

PFC Ronald C. "Smokey" Bakewell was my Uncle and will forever be my hero.

we remember. never forgotten

There are many who fought and died in Vietnam who do not have remembrances posted yet. Our history class goal is to post remembrances for as many of these people as we can. Those who fought and died in Vietnam made the ultimate sacrifice for their country, and for that we owe them our utmost respect, honor, and gratitude.
