Dear PFC Thomas Hanratty,
Thank you for your service as a ACFT CNE/Weapons Systems Technician/Trainee OMA. You are still MIA. PLEASE COME HOME. It is now Lent. The war was years ago, but we all need to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

It has been my honor to wear PFC. Hanratty's bracelet since 1990. As a Marine, I am grateful for his service to his country, his Corps, and his family. May he rest in eternal glory, knowing that he will never be forgotten. Semper Fi!

I never met Mike but wrote to him often because I had a cousin that was stationed with him in VN. Spoke to him Mom shortly after to express my condolences. Now that I have sons I hope her pain was lessened by knowing he died the way he would have wanted - fighting for his country.

Even though I live in London, we are likely connected as I am a Hanratty.
Although I served in the Reserve Forces, I have been fortunate not to have faced what you did. From far away I send my thanks to you and best wishes to your family.

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
