Ground Casualty

PFC Samuel T. Baker served with the 157th Quartermaster Company while in Vietnam. PFC Baker’s MOS (military occupational specialty) was “Duty Soldier.” The MOS of duty soldier encompasses a variety of unskilled labor in service and support companies and in labor pools. It may include loading and unloading supplies and equipment to and from ships, docks, beaches, boxcars, aircraft, and warehouses. On October 19, 1965, Baker was at Qui Nhon in Binh Dinh Province, RVN, when he reportedly drowned. His body was recovered. [Taken from coffeltdatabase.org]
