Thank You

Dear Sp5 Donald Hallow,
Thank you for your service as a Medical NCO. Thank you for the lives you saved, I did the research on you on your 50th anniversary, sad. The war was years ago, but we all need to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Rest in Peace & Honor

You were one of the brave that answered the call. You honored us by your service and sacrifice. We now honor you each time we stand and sing the words “THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE”. Rest in Peace and Honor Don.

We Remember

Donald was an Army Medic stationed with HHC, 2nd BN, 27th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division. His Battalion was at Patrol Base Diamond I, 8KM SW of Go Dau Ha, Tay Ninh Province, South Vietnam when they engaged a hostile force in a heavy firefight. He died along with 17 of his fellow soldiers during this incident. As a fellow Nam Vet I can only imagine how fierce the battle that evening must have been. The bravery and dedication to their country and fellow soldiers is to be commended.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP5 Donald William Hallow, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
