do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
As long as you are remembered you will never truly die....
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.

As long as you are remembered you will never truly die....

Brother You Are Remembered
My APC was on the side of the perimeter close to David’s mortar squad APC. I observed a large explosion coming from David’s APC. That day C Company lost six of our brothers. Brother you are remembered and my heart remains heavy with your loss. Triple Duce, DEEDS NOT WORDS!

From A Friend
I grew up with David and since he was two years older than me, he was like a big brother in many ways. I have a picture of David and 14 other little league players taken in 1960 which hangs in my home office. The sad thing is that of the 15 players in the picture, 3 served in the US military and made the ultimate sacrifice between 1968 and 1970. I was at his funeral and remember how sad it was. A few months later, I ended up serving with the U.S. Army's 12th Combat Aviation Group in South Vietnam. I returned after an extended your of duty but David and many others have always had a place in my heart and memories. God bless you David.
