We Nam Brothers pause to give a backward glance, and post this remembrance to you, one of the gentle heroes lost to the War in Vietnam:

Slip off that pack. Set it down by the crooked trail. Drop your steel pot alongside. Shed those magazine-ladened bandoliers away from your sweat-soaked shirt. Lay that silent weapon down and step out of the heat. Feel the soothing cool breeze right down to your soul ... and rest forever in the shade of our love, brother.

Dear Sir, I am a student at Gridley High School in Gridley, Il. I am doing this a Gridley High School Posting Project for our world history class and because of the great appreciation that I have for you. I want to thank you for the ultimate sacrifice that you have paid for your country, and all of those who are American citizens.

As a fellow Buckeye, I say "THANK YOU"

As a Veteran, I say "JOB WELL DONE, SOLDIER"

As an American, "YOUR DEATH WAS NOT IN VAIN"

And as a Believer, "YOUR SPIRIT IS ALIVE--AND STRONG"

Although we never met personally, I want to thank you John Hale, Jr., for your courageous and valiant service, faithful contribution, and most holy sacrifice, given to this great country of ours!

The United States has entered many conflicts in the past. People like you have represented this country in these conflicts. And many members of the United States military, including you, have given up a tremendous amount for their country. This effort, your effort, has not been forgotten, and neither have you. On this day, I would like to remember you, and thank you for all that you have given to your country. Thank you.
