We were classmates in elementary school but even after all these years I remember him borrowing some notebook paper and becoming friends for the rest of his young life. I remember the day I heard of his death. I joined the Marines that same year and was wounded several times in Vietnam, but he made the ultimate sacrifice. I thank my friend for that..
