Dad, it’s been 51 years since you left this world serving our country. I’ve been angry, sad, confused, frustrated…most of all I just miss you. I have tried to measure up all my life to make you proud and look forward to seeing you in heaven, making one more jump before the sun goes down! Airborne all the way! Love you Dad!

Master Sergeant Harvey Wayne Baker was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor, with Combat Distinguishing Device (V), for his gallantry in action. He was also awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Merit for his sustained meritorious service. He served as an Aircraft Maintenance Senior Sergeant and was assigned to HHC, 11TH AVN GROUP, 1ST AVIATION BDE.
