honoring you...

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Served with my brother

I am posting this as a remembrance for my brother, Robert "Hippie" Ireland, who served with LCPL Haak, who was also known as "Wonder Boy". My brother served with LCPL Haak in VN in 1969. My brother died in March 2008 due to lung cancer from Agent Orange. I was going thru his papers recently & found the letter from LCPL Haak's mother written to my brother. My condolences on the death of LCPL Haak.
