I can't thank you enough....I will be anxiously awaiting it. I have been fortunate to have been sought out and located by Peter's unit (101st ABN 506th Inf Co B) some years ago and have since attended reunions, as well as a Medal of Honor presentation with them in 2012. They are some wonderful men that made it home as well as 3 other widows whose husbands were also KIA from their unit. They have never forgotten their friends; a few were actually with them and watched them being taken from us. We enjoy the reunions where they are able to speak about those days and share their story's with us, brutal as the truth may be. Forever young....

Tonight was opening night for our play. During intermission our director gave a wonderful tribute to your deceased husband. She pointed out to our audience that the portrait on our set was a young man named Peter David Guzman who actually had given the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam for the United States. Our audience was very receptive and excited to hear a little bit about the young man in the portrait on our set. I will contact you through FB so I can make arrangements to send you a copy of the play since it is being recorded each night. I will personally record the director's intermission tribute to Peter for you so you can have that to enjoy.

Sorry Shari, I read your mssg again and realized it wasn't a film, but a production. My mistake. But thank you all the same!

Sincere thanks

Thank you so very much Shari Sullivan. We are honored that you chose my beloved husband for your film and remembrance of such a terrible time in our lives. I so look forward to not only the picture, but hopefully a copy of the film itself. (Or where we can see it). You may also find me on fb:Rose Marie Rios Luna. Thanks again!

We are remembering Mr. Peter Guzman in a special way this week

Rose Marie, I am a member of our community theater in Virginia. We are currently running the production of "The Day They Kidnapped The Pope". This is a family who lost their 21 year old son in Vietnam. One day the grieving father kidnaps the pope to force the world to have just one day where there is no killings throughout mankind. As a memorial to his sacrifice we chose the beautiful portrait of your husband to be respectfully displayed as the family's son on the family's dining room wall on our set. Everybody is asking about who he was and about his family so I felt the need to find out more about Peter. As I read through these posts I see how much he was loved and is still remembered. I will post again with a photo to share with you of our set where Peter's portrait is hung.
