A young brother !

I served with John in Vietnam back in 67 and he was like a brother to me.The day he was killed he was walking in my shoes; where I should have been! I wrote his family and received a answer from his cousin "Mary Robertson" and to this day, in the late evenings at nite, I pull that letter out to pay respect! I often tell my son stories of me and John`s good times. If any friend or family wish to contact me feel free to do so !

Great baseball player!

John Gulliver Memorial Award
This award memorializes John Gulliver who became a U.S. Marine and was the first Colonie Babe Ruth player to die in the Vietnam War.

He played on the 1962 Colonie Babe Ruth State Championship team and contributed to its success with his ability as a pitcher, at the plate and in the field. The award is selected annually by the League President, and is presented to a player who most exemplifies those traits.

Spending Time

I spent some time with you at the "WALL THAT HEALS" in Cohoes,18-21 Sept. 2003
I remembered when we played sand lot baseball. I remember you telling me,"I was too young to smoke cigarettes." Thankyou! I remember your last haircut at the Lisha Kill barbershop. I always wondered if Diane ever wrote to you about me. God Bless you.
