THE WALL OF FACES

Dear Cpl Victor Guerrero,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman with the 1st Cavalry. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

As Christmass has passed for 2017 and a new year soon to come in 2018 my thanks to the many soldiers and their families who have paid for our freedom in the USA. My dear friend Victor, I honor you and the thoughts of your great smile is still with me today. I hope 2018 will bring us peace so our families don’t have to sacrifice. In memory of Victor Guerrero.

Every day I remember you, I watch a football game and when I see a fantastic run by a halfback I remember you use to run and nobody could catch you, you were a little guy however a great running back. I remember that great smile you had and the fun we had at fern school and just hanging out at Garvey park. Victor you are loved by many, you gave us such happiness. We all miss you...

Victor was a childhood friend, while I was in basic training for the Air Force, my parents sent me a news clipping regarding the death of my friend Victor. As young kids we played football for the Rebels, I would ride Victor on the back of my bike. Victor was a good running back. We went to Fern Elementary school. Growing up in those days was fun and innocent. My dad use to deliver milk to their house. Wow, those were old days when they had milk men.
I miss my friend, I know Victors family misses him. I am 63 years old and still think of my friend, some day we will meet again in heaven.
