THE WALL OF FACES

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Corporal Garey Lee Grubbs, Served with the 1st Platoon, Company C, 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, United States Army Vietnam.

May those who served never be forgotten. Rest in peace CPL. Grubbs, I salute your brave soul. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Dear Cpl Garey,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Grubbs was a "Super Friend" and would volunteer to walk point on the four man LRRPs. He was an "Outstanding Soldier" and gave 110%. On February 6, 1969, He volunteered with me to help Greg's squad and was wounded. He visited me on April 25th at the 71st Evacuation Hospital in Pleiku and had volunteered to return to the bush. I think of him often. GOD BLESS GAREY GRUBBS and HIS FAMILY!
