Thank you

In honor of the great sacrifice you have made for me and my country, I am traveling to Washington D.C. with my high school class to make a rubbing of a soldier's name. I chose John Robert Baird because we share a birthday and I can only imagine him celebrating his birthday on the day I was born. It is so sad to imagine that this man once led a happy life, and that he is now gone, however, I hope that my rememberence and rubbbing from the wall will bring him honor. I am also compiling a brief biography to accompany my rubbing.

You'll Never Be Forgotten!

Hello, I'm writing this because my boyfriend that just recently passed away,19, shares the same last name. His name was Joshua Allen Baird. Josh and You share the same great qualities. You both put your life at risk for other people. I admire that greatly. Although you're both gone, you will never be forgotten. You did such an awesome thing. I know you have many people that love you and miss you greatly. Thank you for laying your life on the line for me and everyone else to have a chance to live with freedom in this great country of ours. I never got a chance to meet you personally but I feel that I carry a peace of your heart and your troops around with me everyday. Thanks again!Forever in my Heart!
