honoring you...

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from Tom Goodlaxson is touching and reflects the anguish experienced by so many who lost loved ones in this war. As long as you are remembered you will remain in our hearts forever…..

True America Hero

Galen, Joined the Army and served as a Medic, saving other soldiers.
I didn't know him,I actually was at Paris Island doing my boot camp training.
I did a little background on his service. It appears (I'm not a expert) but it looks like he asked to be a non participant in the Serviceman Group Ins. At that time if you were KIA usually you had insurance of 10K Even in death he was a true patriot.
If this information is incorrect,I sincerely apologize.

An MSU friend & Emmetsburg neighbor

Just found this site. Looked up Galen. Knew him from the Sinclair and visited with him almost daily at MSU. Really surprised when he told me that he dropped out of school to join the Army. He was a good friend and I will forever remember him.
