Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP5 Johnny Glen Gregg, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

We were/are buddies forever!

I was with you during the fun times and I was there, not far from you, at the last. I'll never, ever forget when the call came over the radio...... I've stood at your's and your dad's grave site. I wondered if I had lived a life of value, considering the time I had that you didnt' get. I remembered your daughter who was just a baby and your mother who made snoppy scarves for us. I wore mine on every mission I flew. I thank God that I knew you. I'll remember you until the day I die.
