honoring you...

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

One of my Father's greatest friends

My Father, SGT Fred Ingrassia, and Philip Greene were close friends during Vietnam. Pops never got over Philip's passing. He wore Philip's POW bracelet until the day he died in 2020. Even though he passed long before I was born, I always thought of Philip as part of our family, and extension of my father's former life.

My younger brother.

I loved you for who you were, I've missed and mourned all these years for who you would have been.
