Remembering an American Hero
Dear SP5 Jerry Lane Greene, Sir
As a fellow North Carolinian, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter (son of Sgt. Ardon William Carter, 101st Airborne, February 4, 1966, South Vietnam)

War Wagon Commander
Time has no limit to the hurt. After thirty years, I still remember you , as if it was only yesterday, I still wonder why we were even in that country. I also realize that if it wasn't for men like us , others wouldn't have their freedom, You shall never be forgotten, for I carry you with me daily. We were in different units of the 84th Engineers, but we were friends. I can still see you , in your War Wagon, Gun Truck. I SALUTE YOU!! Jerry Lane Green
