do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Uncle Luther you were the brother that I never had. I always looked up to you and to this day I still do. I remember what you told me "Get that idea of being a Marine out of your head and go to college". Well I hope that you want be to mad at me, I went to college, but I became a Marine first (24yrs). I have been in contact with Capt Ray Clark and he spoke very highly of you that faithful day. Your CO's wife (Capt Taylor) spoke highly of you. Capt Clark said that you were com and that you ran the company until a new CO could take over. I am very proud of you and I always was and will be. Until we meet again. God Bless you and I love and miss you very much.
