The uncle I never met

Uncle Tony, thank you for your service and the sacrifice you made. My mom first told me about you when I was young, and I've kept you close ever since. The entire family speaks highly of you. I wish I could have met you. Until Valhalla.
Your great nephew

Update

Update
I did visit DC, and was honored to stand at "The Wall". I found Tony, and took this photo. As close childhood friends, whenever I look at this photo, I feel it shows Tony and I together again. I know there is a discrepancy in which medal he received, but either way... he's a HERO in my book. RIP - Tony.

My RTO

James was my RTO in Nam prior to his death. I looked upon him as a little brother even though he was 2 years older than me. I nick named him Beatle Bailey after the cartoon character. He was a nice kid but naïve and a little goofy :) I always humped his extra batteries for his radio & some of his c rations. Beatle, like a lot of cherries (new guys) needed help in adapting to the heat, terrain and just surviving. Please e mail me for more info. Rich
