Thinking of Bobby, our Cherished Friend and Neighbor

Thinking of Bobby, and his loving Parents and Sister, on Memorial Day this year and every year. Cherishing childhood memories of Bobby; grateful for his Service to our country and still heartbroken over his making the ultimate sacrifice.

I served with Bobby in Vietnam...we were in the same company but different platoons...He was a great soldier...I especially enjoyed talking with him because we had similar accents, me being from New Jersey and him from Queens...He was a good guy...

To my beloved cousin

Just wanted you to know that I always think about you. I made sure that my son knew about you and how you served our country.

honoring you...

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. While all deaths in Vietnam are tragic that you died just four days after your 20th birthday is especially so. May you rest in eternal peace.

Our Service

Hey Bobby, its me your cousin Anthony. I am writing this in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. I'm serving with the 25th Infantry Division just like you were. I am in 3-7 Field Artillery, 3rd Brigade Combat Team. Your unit 2nd Battalion 27th Infantry Regiment is right next to mine. I walk past it everyday when I am on my lunch break. It's crazy how you and I ended up in the same unit so many years later. I am truly thankful for your service to this great country. God bless.
