Remembering An American Hero

Dear WO Robert Francis Bahl Jr, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

Always remembering

Bob. You were the best roommate the last four months of flight school. We laughed a lot. Worried we would washout and worked our butts off cleaning that old unit we had. You will always be a great friend to me and my family.

I visited your grave today...

An American Soldier…..

You can bet that I stand ready when the wolf growls at the door,

Hey, I'm solid, I'm steady, I'm true down to the core,

And I will always do my duty, no matter what the price,

I've counted up the cost, I know the sacrifice,

And I don't want to die for you, But if dying's asked of me,

I'll bear that cross with honor, 'Cause freedom don't come free.

I'm an American Soldier, an American,

Beside my Brothers and my Sisters I will proudly take a stand.

When liberty's in jeopardy I'll always do what's right.

I'm out here on the front lines, sleep in peace tonight.

Rest in Peace, dear Hero.

(excerpt from Toby Keith’s song)

Rest in peace, dear Hero. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. Job well done.
