I was there

Joe was in our unit just over month. Did well in the poker games. He fit right in and did his job well. That moment in time has been with me since. this June will make it 47 years. I printed his picture off this web cite, it has been a big help to jog my mind. thank you. I will go on line and see if one of the guys has a picture of Joe Charlie

A Fellow Viet Vet

Joey's sacrifice is part of our national heritage. I too am a Vietnam Veteran who served in Vietnam 1969 to 1970. Da-Nang.

Joey and soldiers who served in 'nam are" brothers in arms "- that is the way of war - so tragic

Why I survived the war and soldiers like Joey paid the ultimate price is a guilt I will carry to my grave. God Bless him and his loved ones.

Happy Birthday Joey

Today is a very sad day, even though it's been so long, it's still so hard not having you here. Sleep well with the angels and Mom, Patty and Dougie....Till we all meet up again. Watch over us and we will never ever forget you. <3

My Uncle Joey

Dear Uncle Joey,

Although I never met you I know you were a man of compassion, integrity and a strong source of strength for the family. Grandma often spoke about you and how much she missed you. Mom still speaks about you until this day and the sadness in her eyes breaks my heart. I may never have met you but the impression I have of you is that you were such a great guy. We were sad that we didn't have Grandma here on Mother's Day but we were also so happy she was in heaven with you, Uncle Dougie and Aunt Patty. I know we never got the chance to meet but I knew so much about you through Grandma and Mom and now that Grandma is with you I feel in a way that you will learn some things about me. I love you so much Uncle Joey. Everyone loves you, don't ever think you are forgotten. I'm sure right about now Grandma is having a cup of coffee and you both are just catching up on lost time. That thought alone brings us so much comfort. Although Mom, Aunt Ginger and I miss all of you so much we are so happy you are together and have each other. Grandma missed you for so long Uncle Joey, now it's your time to be together. Tell Grandma not to worry about Mom either, I am keeping an eye on her. God bless you Uncle Joey, I'll write to you again soon.
