Remembering An American Hero
Dear PFC Larry Glover, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter

I had only know Larry for a week or so and wanted to share this event.
There was a claymore mine trap that myself,Simmons and Harper were wounded and Gary Rosser was killed. That happened early afternoon,we were medi vac to Danang . When I joined the unit a few weeks later I was told that Larry was killed later in the day.
I wish I could have know him much better, all the Marines that served with him spoke highly of him. I believe he and Simmons were close friends.
Rest in peace Larry.
Ed

Larry Glover
Larry Glover was the nephew of my late Mother and I have fond memories of Larry from visiting him in Brooklyn and he visiting us in the Bronx. He was also an accomplished boxer who fought in the Golden Gloves.
He is sorely missed by our family
