PFC Thomas Glanton
Private First Class Glanton received his basic training at Fort Knox and his advanced individual training training at Fort Polk. Assigned as an infantryman with Co. D, 4th Battalion, 39th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division, he was killed near Binh Long in Military Region IV. He had been in Vietnam less than two months. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Glanton, he was born in Clio, AL and attended Clio High School.
AWARDS: 2 Bronze Stars, Army Commendation Medal "V", Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnamese Military Merit Medal, Vietnamese Gallantry Cross with palm.

You are remembered by your Brother
Albert served with D company 4th/39th Inf, 9th Inf Division. "The Hardcore Recondos". Albert was killed 3/13/69 along with his Capt., Robert Spiegal and two others. Sgt. Richard Duran and Corperal Clarence Earley. He is remembered every year on March 13 by his Brothers. He is not forgotten.
