Remembering An American Hero

Dear PVT Ronald Victor Bacca, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

Engineers up

Some names come to mind when I go back to a different time. But your name is a constant. I still can't believe you arrived that day to us and that night you were taken from us. I wish it would have been me. You were so young.

Hero

For one of my classes at Gridley High School in Gridley, Illinois, I am writing remembrances on those who don’t have a remembrance. I think that every person that helped give their life for our country should be remembered. Ronald has helped defend my freedom and I would just like to take this opportunity to thank him. Even though I never knew him, he will still have a special place in my heart.
Sincerely,
Kelsey Zehr
