Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. As long as you are remembered you will remain in our hearts forever…..

Dear Sp4 Donald Gibson,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Happy Advent. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

You were one of the brave that answered the call. You honored us by your service and sacrifice. We now honor you each time we stand and sing the words “THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE”. Rest in Peace and Honor Donald.

I played high school football with Gib, that's what we called him. Our yearbook quotes about Gib, he practices at being a nonconformist and he was a "Son of a gun"...found in any school activity...rides in a '60 Dodge Dart...has a special interest in art.

I served in Viet Nam also though not with Gib. I was in the Air Force at Da Nang. All I remember is that Gib was in country a very short time before his death.
