We thank you

You were taken the day I was born. As a daughter of a Vietnam Veteran, I say thank you. I was taught by my father to live every day worthy of the men who gave their lives so that we can live free. Thank you for your sacrifice.

Pfc. William “Bill” Harley Gibbs, Jr

46 years ago on July 5, 1968, Pfc. William “Bill” Harley Gibbs, Jr., pointman for 3rd squad, 1st Platoon, C Co. 1/7 Marines hit a mine on a road sweep from Hill 55 to Hill 37. He would have turned 20 on July 15th. I remember I needed some money to go on R&R and he came through for me. Another great Marine killed in action in Vietnam. Rest In Peace Bill.
