Uncle Jerry

I was only 3 yrs old when you passed away. Through out the years growing up I was always asked if I was related to Jerry and I would say yes he was my uncle. My brother and I had the opportunity to visit a friend of his who was in the same unit in Vietnam. We met him and his family in D.C. His name Hank "Pappy Sobolak. It was a very touching moment we shared. He shared a lot about my uncle when they were in Vietnam and the good times they had when they would go on leave, but sadly he shared the day he was K.I.A. My uncle touched a lot of lives in a short time he was here. May you Rest In Paradise Uncle Jerry!

Thank You

Dear Cpl Jerry Georges,
Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Jerry was someone that I greatly admired

I met Jerry when we were riding the bus to La Colina Jr High. He was in 9th grade, & I was a very shy 7th grader. Jerry was always a leader, starting in 9th grade as President of the Boys League & voted Conquistador by the students. At San Marcos HS, he was voted Associated Student Body President & Mr Typical Teen by the students. He was an outstanding young man & I was devastated by his death & will always remember him. It was Jerry’s name that I searched for on the Vietnam War Memorial.
