I remember you asking me to hold your wallet until you returned. I got your letters from the hospital you were in and expected you back very soon. My loss was a loss for a nation . You were too young to die in a war you shouldn't have been in. But I am proud to have known you and care about you. You did what you thought was right. You honored a family tradition. You were a Great guy and the world lost a great man.

Me and Rich as kid neighbors
I remember when I said goodbye to him in the alley behind my house. I remember his family and him teach me the game of canasta. And the sister married a guy with the T-Bird they all had fun. My father took a liking to Richard he liked him the best of all my buddies. I seen him before he left Vietnam. This is the first time I found out about his death believe it or not. I was hoping he survive I always wondered where he was. But God bless you
