Dear soldier,
I am writing this to express my undying gratefulness for your willingness to serve the Land of the Free. You gave the supreme sacrifice, being struck down in battle, protecting your country. Our generation has not forgotten you and the generations to come will not forget either. Thank you and God bless.

Thanks!
Although, I have never met you I feel as though we share something special. We both have pride and passion for this great country of ours. You have passed away, but you will never be forgotten. I wish I had your courage and bravery that you had going into war. I admire everything you did for the U.S.A. Thanks, RIP

NEVER FORGOTTEN
I REMEMBER HENRY BEING REALLY CONCERNED ABOUT LEAVING HIS WIFE AND FAMILY BEHIND AND HOPING HE COULD COMPLETE HIS TOUR IN NAM; HENRY WAS A DEDICATED FAMILY ORIENTED AND RELIGIOUS YOUNG MAN BUT RECEIVING ORDERS TO GO TO VIET-NAM REALLY BROKE HIS HEART. I TRIED TO CONSOLE HENRY AND LIFT HIS SPIRITS BUT TO NO AVAIL - FOR SOME UNKOWN REASON HE FELT HE WOULD NOT COMPLETE HIS TOUR AND WOULD AT TIMES CRY HIMSELF TO SLEEP. HENRY AND I BOTH WERE STATIONED AT FT.SAM HOUSTON RECEIVING MEDIC TRAINING IN THE SUMMER OF 1966. I BECAME SOMEWHAT ATTACHED TO HENRY SINCE WE WERE BOTH BORN AND RAISED HERE IN SAN ANTONIO - WHEN I RECEIVED WORD THAT HENRY WAS A CASUALTY OF WAR I JUST COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. I HAVE NEVER FORGOTTEN HENRY GARZA AND I NEVER WILL.
