Sergeant Ernest Edward Garrahan, Served with Company A, 1st Battalion, 505th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division, United States Army Vietnam.

I came across this site on the 53rd anniversary of Sergeant Garrahan's death. I have no idea if we are related but I do feel a connection as I share his last name. It is good to know that he and the other men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam are not forgotten.

He never met Patti; she was born after he lost his life in action. But, I know her. A wonderful person, so smart, so good, and a great mom. Sgt Garrahan would be so proud. I cry this Memorial Day for Ernie Garrahan.

We can never truly repay the great debt we owe our fallen heroes. May those who served never be forgotten. Rest in peace SGT. Garrahan, I salute your brave soul. My heart goes out to you and your family.
