Remembering An American Hero

Dear SSGT Henry R Garcia, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

MY BROTHER

My brother Henry was 26 years old and a father of two when he died. He will always be remembered and loved by his family and all who knew him. He was a sweet, caring man and a dedicated soldier.

Heni's Legacy

Heni was survived by two sons, Henry R. Garcia, Jr., and Pete Garcia. They both currently reside in La Porte, Texas, with their families. Henry, Jr., has two children, Annalissa and Henry, III. Pete has five children, Brandt Daniel, Devan Kathleen, Brelan Jewel, Lorenzo Hunter, and Logan Henry. Since both boys were only babies when their father died, ages 2 and 1, they would like to be contacted by anyone who might have known their father in the Service at [email protected].
