To a recon brother

Thank you Garcia for going. You put your life on the line for your country when many were trying to figure out how to avoid their duty. You paid the ultimate price and for that you are remembered and appreciated. I hope you're having peaches and pound cake every day.

Semper Fi!

NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER

It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die

In Remembrance

An insight into the conditions that Arthur Garcia, Ted Bishop, and James Fuhrman experienced can be read in the nonfiction book "Force Recon Diary, 1969" by Bruce H. Norton (published in 1991 by Ballantine Books). We all owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to these men.
