Thank You

Dear Sp4 Vincent Galka,
Thank you for your service as an Aircraft Powerplant Repairer. Today is All Saints, today is you. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

I do now

I didn't understand what the war meant then, I do now.
I didn't understand the importance of what you were going to do then, I do now.
I didn't understand the sacrifice you were making then, I do now.
I didn't understand the loss your family felt then, I do now.
I didn't understand how grateful I should be for your service then, I do now.

from one of your little sister's friends back then, I Thank You now.
