Remembering the Night of March 6, 1969

I was on Hill 400 the night Edgar was killed. It was a horribly tragic accident. I did not know Edgar well, only having seen him in our Company, knew his name, and that he belonged to Alpha Co 1/4. I'll never forget the night it happened, how saddened we were by his death, and the lessons it taught all of his brothers going forward. Semper Fi Edgar Acunia RIP Brother.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear LCPL Edgar Acunia, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter
