Dear Ssgt John Gage,
Thank you for your service as an Infantry Unit Leader. Happy Halloween. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

John and I were in school together from elementary through secondary. We played on the same school football teams. He died the year I joined the Marines.

I wrote John's missing in action bracelact as a teenage anger of an Air Force Father. I had it on several years, he has came to my mind on and off more often as I have gotten older.
I want you all to know my daughter and I are planning to visit John's Memorial in New York in December and will lay a flower for your family.
