THE WALL OF FACES

In 1989 I went on a class trip to Washington DC from Los Angeles. When we visited the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, I decided to pick a name on the wall to honor forever. For some reason Tyrone W. Austin stood out to me. It's been 35 years since that trip and I still think of Tyrone often, although I did not know him. I was shocked to see that someone else here had an identical experience with Mr. Austin.

Going thru some family photos. Ran across a picture of Cpl Austin that my father had. My father told me of his passing while serving. R.I.P. Cuz. My parents were from Brownsville.Tn

Miss you Cuz. Wish we had had more time together. The family is proud of your sacrifice.

Amigo, I remember all the great times you, myself, Jackie & Jerry used to play together in that large field and in that big tree at your aunt's house on McLemore. You were a great friend. My apologizes for the late remembrance. Sort of ironic, the day you passed away, my first child, my daughter was born. You were truly a great friend and classmate.
