A Brave Soldier and a Life Long Best Friend

Danny was a life long childhood friend. We climb the trees, constructed forts, race bikes and dreamed away the eternal summers playing sand lot ball or war games.
John Daniel I want to thank you for your service and bravery and even though you have been gone you have lived in my heart everyday of my life since you left us some fifty years ago.
Take care my eternal brother and one day soon when we see each other again maybe ,just maybe this pain in my heart of your tragic loss will go away when I see that grin and hear that joyful laugh.....

Forshey

You were my replacement out at the company. We didn't
have much time together but your loss has always been
with me. I have tried over the years to locate your family.

For my Brother

The definition of a hero will vary from person to person. I can tell you what mine is, my Brother. I only wish the memories of you that I have could be more vivid, I have a few but being so young mostly I keep close to the memories that others have told me of you. How we favor and I only hope that I could be as wonderful of a person as you were. Your love for people and the need to help others was somehow transferred to me. I have that same passion. As we approach Memorial Day, know that although you and so many others were forgotten by your country, your family and especially me never forgot you and I think of you every day. I love you, and I know Mama and Daddy were so glad to see you, I miss all of you. D
