If I should die...remembrances for LTCOL. Roscoe FOBAIR, USAF...who gave his life so that we may be free!!!!!...HE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I should die, and leave you here awhile, be not like others, sore undone, who keep long vigils by the silent dust, and weep...for MY sake, turn again to life, and smile...Nerving thy heart, and trembling hand to do something to comfort other hearts than thine...Complete these dear, unfinished tasks of mine...and I, perchance, may therein comfort you.

Ross Fobair, a friend
Ross was my neighbor in pilot training at Webb AFB TX 1963. I read or heard that he was one of the first losses to SAMS over the north. Can anyone confirm or add details?

To Roscoe Henry Fobair
I keep your bracelet on my desk as a reminder of a time when war was at our back door.. a time when families were deeply divided by their beliefs.. And, to remind me that the thin layer of civilization must be carefully tended today as never more. I pray that Major Fobair rests in peace.
