Michael H. Flood
Mike was my best friend all through Advanced Individual Training at the Medical Training Facility at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. He, I and John E. Lutze (Medic, KIA) were all shipped to Vietnam on Sept. 9, 1968, from Oakland, CA. We all planned to meet back there upon return. Mike and I share the same birth date. America lost a truly great and unique young man.

Michael Flood Remembered
Michael Flood was our medic in 3rd Platoon, Bravo Company, 1/506 Airborne Infantry, 101st Airborne Division. He was killed when our Platoon was ambushed on a routine patrol outside a firebase above the Ashau Valley. He was one of many killed that day. He was killed while helping the wounded. Doc Flood lives on in my memory.
