Thank You
Dear Sp4 Donnith Fletcher,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman with the 1st Cavalry. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear SP4 Donnith Howard Fletcher, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter

I was his squad leader.
The thing I remember the most was Donnith's infectious smile. He probably would have been a movie star had he survived. I remember that he had been granted an emergency leave to return to Florida to spend time with his grandfather who was dying. I had DEROSed before Don returned & was killed.

big brotherhappy sister in church
Knew Donnie from 1st Baptist Church in W.Hollywood. Remember last night I saw him. Sitting in front of me with his sister & girlfriend. When I heard of his death, turned me completely against war. Saw his name on memorial in D.C. Felt like I had to see it. Made me sad again. Sandy Cooper
