Your mom & the rest

Your mom passed away February 3, 2009 at the age of 83 years. Reading her obituary, I note that your dad has already passed on. But I suppose you already knew that. Dave lives in Lower Lake. I think about you and your family often, especially since so many others are making sacrifices today. I lost a friend while we were serving in Afghanistan and can only imagine the deep sadness from the family. Be thou at peace.

Yet ANOTHER school year

The school year began for the boys, this time Colin entered Kindergarten. He was a little nervous but gutted it through. The soccer season begins; the boys are ready! Football is no longer the sport de jure here in Napa County, it's soccer. I played FB with Charlie Toogood as the coach. Remember him? Fall draws near and some of the leaves are turning gold and brown. I wonder where your family is. What Dave is doing. And your parents.

Your brother's car

David had this muscle car from the 1970s. I don't remember the make and model, but if memory serves it was a weathered blue or gray, with those great female curves. He and his pal Dave Nagy used to hop into Dave's car around noon and we wouldn't see them for the rest of the school day. Dave loved that car. It was a real guy's car.
