POW/MIA BRACELET
I too have L/CPL Richard Fischer's POW/MIA Bracelet. I prayed daily for you and your family during the war. I have your bracelet on today and remember the sacrifice that you made for America and for our Freedom. Thank You for your service.

Though we have never met, i carried you in my heart for over 47 years. Late 1972 I received a bracelet with your name on it. It read L/CPL Richard Fischer... I too was a L/CPL in the Marines. I have never forgotten you. The bracelet was lost many years ago, but you've always been there. Strange how much of a connection I have with your memory caused by wearing you bracelet. The traveling wall was in Rockport TX last summer and I saw your name, I was overcome by emotion. I would serve our great nation for 8 years always with the wonder of who you were. Nite I have a glimpse. This July I will visit the wall and honor you.

POW/MIA Bracelet
I wore a bracelet with his name all through college and still have it. I prayed for him often and thought of him daily. Finding the bracelet in a memento box this week, I now plan to wear it every Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day, thinking of him as I do my father.

Thank You
Dear Gysgt Richard Fischer,
Thank you for your service as a Machine Gunner. I am glad you were identified in 2007. Welcome home.
Tuesday is the 17th anniversary of 9/11, and we remember you all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
