do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
As long as you are remembered you will always be with us...
I am not there; I do not sleep.

Funny, isn't it
There are many people who live full lives, but don't have others remembering them 50 years after they are gone. Keith, you remain part of us. You are special.
I remember that as a nerdy, insecure 15 year old you took me for a ride on your motorbike. Most upperclassmen wouldn't have had the time to spare, but you did, and I remember it. If you were alive, you would be old now, too. I wonder about the ways you would have continued to make the world a better place, had you been given the chance. As long as I am alive your memory will remain.

My Friend
Keith you were one of my most trusted and duty bound men in my squad. I last saw you on April 8th I went to the hospital and missed the Ambush that took you and Larry Hatcher. I wear a shirt with you and Larry's name so others may honor your sacrifice. I was lucky to have known you and miss you every day.
