Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Louis Earl Fenceroy, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

A Job Well Done

I know his family misses him and so does his friends. Only two from Morehouse fell and Fenceroy was one.

We Remember

Quiet and dependable, Louis was one of the unsung heroes of 2nd Platoon, C Co, 1/501st Infantry,
101st Airborne Division who regularly demonstrated personal courage and dedication to duty under
conditions of heavy combat. Louis was killed while participating in an assault on a fortified hill near
Tam Ky that was being defended by North Vietnamese Army regulars. He is not forgotten.
