Hollywood New Years

Hi Al,
Sorry it's been so long. I have trouble going to the wall. Only been there a few times.
I remember me you and hogenmiller spending New Years in Hollywood before heading to Okinawa. The bartender looked at you ID, looked at the 3 of us in uniform and wished you a happy birthday even though you weren't yet 21. We spent the night celebrating and barely had to pay for a drink. Then the hotel caught fire in the morning and the manager wanted to know if we were staying another night?
Rest in peace my friend. I'll see you again

Rememberence

I was part of the Broome County Veterans Memorial Assoc. who was privileged to be asked by your wife to finally provide military honors at your grave site, 49 years later on 5/18/2015 at Vestal Hills Cemetery, Vestal, NY. I was touched by your story and great sacrifice. God bless you and rest in peace.

Rest in peace, my friend

I remember you, Aldon. You and I went over, together. You were the one who ate all of my peanut butter, while we were on Okinawa. You did your job, man. Now rest in peace.
